I am imagining constructing an outdoor structure / platform with a wall or two the size of a small room (maybe bigger) which would house a range of activities, including noise making, food fights, water play, dressing up, shadow theater etc... The structure could change on a daily basis and be in use throughout our stay and could perhaps be left for others when we leave. I like the idea of using what is at hand around the house and the local area to construct the house, but perhaps we could bring or order a few things in advance such as 2" x 2"s, a roll of paper, plaster, concrete, clay, chicken wire...

Sweden presents an opportunity to work together as a family. Jesper and I have been wanting to build some sort of structure (as well as our own house) for a while, and this seems a good moment to try it out. Jesper has a more technical approach, I am a bit more "conceptual" when it comes to building stuff. Vita is 4. She really likes singing, dancing and hanging in monkey bars. Nova is very little, but can clap, bang on tables and say noises that sound like the beginnings of a language.
